The Wall of Religion in the Panhandle Region

In my dream last night, I traveled to Pensacola, FL  and began walking the streets and venturing out into surrounding cities.  The landscape and terrain was very familiar to me personally because I have ministered to the Panhandle region on several occasions.

I began to meet with pastors and leaders all over the region and they invited me as a special guest to an event that they all participated in. I jumped in the car with a few of the leaders present and we pulled up in front of a gigantic wooden wall built in the region that was as tall as my eyes could see.

As we got out of the car, all the leaders from the region began to harass and joke with one another about who could get to the top of the wall by ropes the fastest. As they cheered, I began to deeply tremble inwardly. As a wave of physical sickness swept over me, I inquired of the Lord about what was going on.

The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Just as my people in Genesis 11 built a tower in order to make a name for themselves, so the spirit of religion in the Panhandle region has built a wall for the purpose of recognizing man and their ministries and it must be TORN DOWN in this hour. Look up at the top of this wall that stands before you and tell me what you see.”

I fixed my gaze as best as I could upward toward the top of this wall, where all the leaders had gathered, and imprinted at the top of the wall was the words “Job 22:2”.

Without knowing this Scripture off the top of my head, I instantly knew what it meant by revelation from the Holy Spirit.

I began to prophesy to the leaders present there and said, ” There is a sovereign move of the Holy Spirit that is coming to this region that will come in like a flood. It will not only impact churches and ministries, but it will effect families and prodigal sons and daughters. You must humble yourselves and repent for erecting walls in this region that are a stench in the nostrils of the Lord. Stop building your ministry and church and start building the kingdom of God. I’ve come to set this region free from dead works and religion and welcome them into intimate fellowship with me” says the Lord

As I prophesied, the leaders present began to come under the conviction of the Holy Spirit and they began to tremble. I started shouting and saying, “Is ministry some competition to you? Is the rival spirit not alive and active in this land. Tear it down! Tear it down now! Those in the Panhandle region must gather, not on behalf of their ministry or church, but on behalf of the spirit of repentance. It is the spirit of repentance and mourning that will unite this region once again.”

Suddenly in the dream, a great flood swept through the land. The height of the waters all around us was as tall as the heavens. It was the coming move of the Spirit as this wall of religion was torn down and leaders gathered to be united under the spirit of repentance. As the waters swept over us  and consumed us,  I  suddenly woke up from the dream.

There is an apparent Job 22:2 wall, like the tower of Babel that has been built by the spirit of religion in the Panhandle Region of Florida. The Holy Spirit wants it torn down and wants it torn down NOW. This is a call to intercession for all those that live in this region and it is a wake up call to pastors and leaders.

Job 22:2 says, “Can a man be of benefit to God? Can even a wise person benefit him?

In this passage of Scripture, Job’s friend Eliphaz is reminding him that his works of righteousness are impossible without God or as he says, “Can a man really benefit God at all as if God is in need of anything?”

Jon Wesley commented on Job 22:2 and interpreted it as, “Why do you insist so much upon your own righteousness, as if you obligate God by it?”

I’m praying that pastors and leaders in the Panhandle region hear the clarion call to stop insisting upon their own righteousness as to why revival needs to break out and start recognizing the need to walk in repentance and humility before the Lord. This is not the time to build your ministry, it is time to unite the kingdom of God under the banner of repentance. There is a mighty move of the Spirit coming to the Panhandle region and this issue must be dealt with before it happens.
